Need Help! AOD Swap
Hello. I have an 83 Ford Club Wagon with a 300 I6 2 wheel drive. It had a 4 speed top load manual tranny. Was too weak, so I put a C6 auto. I have a 3.00:1 9 in. rear end. I am running 31X10.5 15's tires. Was getting about 19 mpg, before tranny swap. What I would like to know, is if I put an AOD tranny, which one and how hard would it be to set up? Would still like to tow once in a while. RPM'S are running 2450 at 70 mph. Get better mileage at 2100 RPM'S. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
