'00 Exp change radiator tips...
I just wanted to throw a couple things out there that I encountered when I changed my radiator today. I changed the radiator both hoses and the tstat.
1.) Before you remove the lower hose from the water pump remove the radiator/fan cover first...it's much easier to remove it with the extra room you get by doing that
2.)Assemble all your hoses before you slip in the radiator.
3.)Make sure the connections for the tran. cooler lines are square with the radiator when you're getting the threads started.
4.)disonnect the battery and detach the power cable from the alternator...it gives you a little more room to get the tstat out..
My radiator had a leak in it and after I pulled it out I could see why...I would guess that approx 30% of the cooling fins were caked with crap...It probably wouldve been worth it to try and clean it somehow periodically...
