OK guys, this is Me raising a moistened finger in the air.LOL I am considering tinting very black the windows and back glass of my VERY black '55 Effie. It is custom, not stock. Lowered, tight, and straight. Sacriledge?? I know it's a personal taste thing, but somehow, it doesn't "feel" right.. Your opinions, please..

ra(c)erjim - If you don't fix your handle now (by re-registering as a member) you'll have to start over on posts, etc. Ask Jet Jock or 77Chief.

I have a black car for my daily driver with the coke dealer tint as well. A couple of times I've almost backed over people at night cause I couldn't see them....but then, i am an old fart.....The lightest black tint there is will still look good...

i have dark black tint (not legal in KY) on my daily driver and i love it.. plus it gets close to 110 degrees here, and a black car sucks in teh sun/heat...
go for it..
also: maybe i am dislexic, or my brain works funny, but i read "racerjim" when reading your nickname, i didnt even notice the missing "c"

Thanks Fellas. I'm gonna proceed with the tint. I'd be pleased and proud to put some foto's on here if someone would walk me thru it. I have XP media center with pics of my truck on it, but don't know how to put them on here. I understand it starts with having them under my profile.

Randy Jack is right, fix your handle now or go through a bigger @ss pain later! By the way, nice truck! Go for the tint, just be careful at night.

I probably threw you off by saying form instead or "forum". If you go to the top of the threads on the the 48-60 Forum there are red "Read First" threads and one titled "Reference Threads". The info on inserting pics is found there. Sorry for the confusion.

My 56 is a midnight blue but everyone thinks it's black. I agree with tinted windows, however my personal opinion is dark or blackout doesn't look good. I'm one of those car show nuts who spend weekends at the shows looking at trucks, cars, etc. I've noticed most people go with the darker tint on the back window, and a medium or light tint on the side door windows. Limo tint is just too dark for me. Might as well spray paint your windows black. I think the medium tint is the way to go. But, it's only my opinion but everyone here knows I have great taste? Right? LOL.....
