I went through one of those "touch-less" car washes and wound up with a wet headliner. Aside from replacing the light, has anybody been able to get one to stop leaking? Caulk is out because of appearance, and the future need to replace the bulbs. Thanks for any suggestions!
Have you tried removing it & cleaning the sealing surface, then tightening the fastners a little more????
If that doesn't work & if you don't want to use a silicone sealant, try buttering the sealing surface, with a layer of silicone grease, reinstalling the light, then wiping off the bead of squeesed out silicone grease.
The silicone grease won't get thin & run out when it gets hot this summer & the light will be easy to remove later for lamp replacement.
Mine is just rubber on the metal ('94). Cleaning it up and screwing it firmly down held it in place, though the smoothness of newly waxed paint might have helped as well.
