I have a 1992 F150 4x4 300 I6 w/ 5 spd. When I stop completely and go again there is this short chirp noise (sounds like someone tootin thier horn) coming from somewhere in the drivetrain. The truck just started doing this. Any ideas of what it might be?
Probably a u-joint. Crawl under and if there's any play in any of the u-joints, they need to be replaced. If you leave them too long, your driveline may come apart.
