is there any difference on the stock f250 rims on 2005 verses the older?(ive got a 2000)i found a guy about 2 hours away who is selling his stock 17" rims with tires for a really good deal.ive gotten conflicting answers.some say they are the same some say diff. pattern and others say i will need spacers because of the offset difference if so where do i buy the spacers.thanks for any help
The bolt pattern is the same 8 on 170mm BUT the wheel offset itself is different therefore making the inside of the rim hit the brake calibers. 8 lug spacers may be difficult to find and even if you do you are probably in the same price range as if you just purchased some new rims that fit correctly.
cool let me know what happens.i guess the problem is the offset so they rub on the brakes.if not maybe ill buy this guys rims and just put on new shoes.thanks
Be aware that the difference in rim offset may result in additional stresses being placed on your wheel bearings. If you have a 4WD, they are sealed, and only replacable as an expensive assembly.
well the wheels we tried were 18's and would work but the tire would rub pretty hard on the spring. the offset brings the tire into the wheel well more and thus the rub. so my dad is looking at harley 18's cause they will fit cause the offset is right for the 03
