1971 Ford 360 engine question
1. I just bought a 1971 Ford F-100 for some light haul work.
2. Did a general tune-up and replaced the following:
Wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor bulb, carb quick kit,
(adjusted air-fuel ratio as best I could), PCV valve.
3. The guy I bought the truck from said he reworked the heads
but didn't do anyting in the block or anywhere else.
4. Issues:
Runs kinda rough, black smoke from PCV valve into breather (always),hesitates on first acceleration from stop, idles kind of rough, condensation in the breather but no milky substance on the
dipstick, have to hold the accelerator to the floor usually
to start, often stalls on slight accelerattion from stop
but not when the accelerator is "patted."
I would be more than appreciative if someone could respond to
these symptoms if they have been experienced? Thanks you kindly
for your time in this matter. You may email me directly at SSAK15AOA@AOL.COM if you like.
