2002 excursion tranny problem
7.3/2002 /102000 mls/seviced at70000 mls / no slipping what so ever just of of no where after about 2 mls it would not go foward in any gear but reverse. no noise what so ever. drove home in reverse and disconnected batt. Will try again when I get home. Anyone please help.

Just looked under the truck and didnt see any problems. Picked up speed sensors and ford gave the wrong one. It acts like its still in neutral rpm's drop when I shift to reverse and idles up when in neutral. I put it in drive and rpm's dont change a bit. The lever on the tranny has a sensor on it so maybe this is the problem. Any one run into this one even the dealer didnt know, yea right. They said bring it in.

Couldn't be without my x and just ordered a tranny from ford 1940.00 and installed for 500. and a rear seal, hope this it the fix. piece of crap should hold up another 100,000 mls. Pulled the pan and clean as can be no metal shavings. Broke the filter to see how it looked. Ford mech. said the band broke. Going to California next month and want no problems. Had the money and had no time.
