crank question

Hello, new to this posting but have done a lot of researching hear.

I have a 351M and a 400. I'm currently building up the 400 to put in my 78 F-150. I'm unable to find the casting numbers on the 400 crank. All I see is 3 s's or 5's kind of stamped overlapping. I know it's a 400 because of the stroke comparison with the 351M on the the engine stand next to it. Could this be an aftermarket crank?

Second question. What are the nominal diameters of the mains and rods journals on the 400 crank.

Thanks. You guys have a great site hear.

they should be on the front counterweight. 5M is a 400, and 1K is a 351M. mains are 3" and rods are 2.31" for both engines.

my crank only has the letter H on it. I've struggled with identifying mine too. I was just hoping to find a pic of the counterweights.

Thanks for the main and rod diameters. My 351 crank plainly has the 1K on the first counterweight but nothing on the 400. kinda strange.
