It would probably be okay, but it is a gamble. If the bar was heated and cooled slowly it could (emphasis on could) still be good. If it was heated and quenched (like with a firehose or something) it could be brittle. Personally, I wouldn't use it.
In reality, the bar would have to get VERY hot to lose any strength. But I'd still pass. If it was high mileage, it wasn't worth anything anyway
A brand-new Hellwig is $209 and maybe less.
Ford's list price is only $80 for the stock one. The rest of the stuff you'd need might run up to another $60 or so, so the Hellwig is pretty attractive for the price.
Id use it. swaybars are low to the ground and heat rises. just as long as the bushings arent toast it should be fine. I once bought a car at an auction that the interior burnt up completely on. Underhood it was mint. The drivetrain went into a car I gave my dad, and for 20 years or so it gave great service.
How much damage was done to the bed by the fire? Most vehicle fires engulf the cab and engine compartment and not much else unless itr really gets going. If the bed isnt in too bad a shape the sway bar and rear end outta be good. If the point of origin was a rag in gas tank and the bed was heavily involed foreget about it.
