engin swap?

engin swap?

ok well i have a 1984 bronco II with a 2.8L (carborated)motor in it thats goin to crap. well i bought a 1988 bronco II with a 2.9L (feul injected)motor in it but a crapy body on it. i want to know if the two engins are capable of just unbolt and bolt for an engin swap. plz get back to me with any information on this. anything would help

for putting the 2.9L in there which is FUEL injected..you will have to pull the tanks and swap them or install a fuel pump in yours..you will need the complete wiring harness, computer and everything else on the motor. Even though the 2.8L and 2.9L look exact..they are different. heads are different, timing covers are different, water pumps are different. One is Chain driven and the other geared driven. With a little work and time you can make it work.

i figured ide have to swap the tank. thanks for the info. i was a little out of it when i wrote that so ya i spelt fuel wrong, lol.
