i mangled the rear slip yoke on my 78 bronco... the PO thought that needle bearings in a U-joint were unnecesary, or thy just turned themselves to metal dust. the u joint lost two of its caps and just reamed the **** out of the slip yoke, and cracked one side of it.

and i broke a cast alluminum 1st gear shift fork in a 2wd dodge playing in a wet field.... im so X7R3M3

On one weekend, with my 94 F-150 completely stock except for a set of 32x11.50R15 Cooper Discoverer M/Ts I managed to break the passenger side coil spring and one of the leaf springs on the same side. I also cracked both radius arm mounts, ruined all 4 ball joints, ripped off my exhaust, ruined all 4 shocks, stressed out my M5OD (it whines alot now), damaged one of the tire's sidewall and had a U-Joint go bad. Needless to say I had alot of fun that weekend, and most all the stuff that broke/ went bad is getting replaced by a lift kit here in aboot 2 weeks.

95 F-150, Cracked main crossmember, wheel bearing blew on the way home taking out hub. Replaced engine because of sand. No more sand, I think I'll just stick to mud and not where the big dogs go (I only have 6" lift, 35" tires, 4:56 gears, posi in back, open in front).

The big crossmember holding the engine. I had it welded, but the welds broke and then I had to reinforce with 1/4" steel plates in addition to more welds. Seems to be holding up ok.

I've never needed an excuse to re-enforce something, I usually do it before something breaks.

Amen! I live by the theory of "If your truck can't take a rice burner in the 1/4 mile, then you need a bigger engine." What's 11mpg when you can embarrass Toyota, Datsun, Nissan, and Honda owners.
