Front Axel U Joint Help ASAP Please!!
I need some quick help guys please. I got the front pass. side wheelbearing off no problem. The bolts weren't even froze up. Got the front axel out, and now trying to replace the u joints on the axel. How in the he!! do they come out?? It look like they are pressed in on all sides with some kind of cap! How do I drive them out? Truck is in pieces in garage, and I need it back together to go to work tomorrow!

The retainer rings over the end caps need to be removed... then take a deep well socket or a piece of steel pipe a little smaller in diameter than the hole where the end cap is seated and beat them out with a hammer. I am assuming you have purchased the new ones or just put the axle back in the truck with the old u-joints to get to work tomorrow and save this project for the weekend.
