I just installed a Uniden PC78 Elite in my 2005 diesel SD. I ran the power wires directly to the battery by going through a small grommet that is just above the carpet on the passenger side. My antenna is a Wilson 1000 magnet mount that goes on the roof. This is supposedly the best way to get a good ground for the antenna. I originally wanted mirror mounts, but would have had to use the no-ground-plane antennas due to the plastic mirror posts. It all seems to work very well. I mounted the CB by adapting its bracket to fit the two screws on the hook panel next to the driver's glove box. Hope this helps. Good luck.
