How many axle splines are on a '68 F100 with the Ford axle?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Apr-02 AT 01:31 PM (EST)]Most likely a 28 spline Ford 9". If the axle is rare a Dana 44, or 60-3 (they have a cover plate on the back) it may have 30 splines. The axle code on the door tag specifies which axle came with the truck originally.
