hey guys i was just wondering do any of you guys run any 265x70x16's on your trucks? I got a set for freew and put them on they are load range E but there not a LT tire. are they unsafe for my truck?
thanks,
Jimmy
PS the other 2 sizes are 235x85x16 and 265x75x16... i think ill go withthe 265x75's
What is the actual max load rating on them? This is found near the rim around the center of the tire.
With so many people buying large SUV's and pickups for commuters and family, there is more of a demand for load rated tires that don't have the stiff construction of a typical light truck tire.
If you don't haul much, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you do, or plan on doing so in the future, I would compare them to an LT tire.
Comparing load range without comparing the actual weight rating can be confusing. I run a set of D rated tires that have a higher max load weight capacity than many load range E tires available.
they are 2289 i believe. I am not hauling with ths truck. right now. if i do any hauling with it its only going to be like a 150lbs-300lbs load at most on the truck.
thanks,
jimmy
