High flow air filter

Most folks here will likely recommend that you stick with the stock Donaldson air filter. Personally, I have seen nothing to justify switching.
There are some K & N guys here though. Hopefully you will get some responses from them.

have you ever read the warranty statement for k&n? there is no warranty if it is used in modified situations, off road, racing, and there is no recourse if anything goes wrong with your engine due to this filter. I personally have changed some turbos that have sandpapered vanes--all with "high flow air filters". just my opinion, but if they gave so much more,how much horsepower would you gain if you just took the filter out of it? Simple physics says if it flows more air, that means the holes are bigger.

Have K&N cold air kit installed on my truck 06 f350. Increased 0.1 mpg!!!!! Great. (lol) Changed sound, little louder. Can't say it increased performance. But it's washable, instead of the $100. disposable from Ford. Michael
