good thinking Bobby! I have the wiper motor mocked up on the drivers side with a long 1/4 inch shaft connecting it to the mechanism. Used left and right threads on the shaft to fine tune the sweep.
Would it be possible to get you to post a picture of the underside of you dash and what the wiper motor install looks like. I understand the way you describe the install, but like they say a picture is worth a thousand words. I looked in your gallery but only saw the picture of the crowl.
It's good to see this thread comong back around. I just got an assembly from a Cherokee that I hope to be fitting up soon. I'll be looking for pictures for ideas, myself.
Sorry, I can't get to this to photograph it but basically it's just a VW motor that mounts right inside the door, on the driver's side, behind the dash. Maybe I can draw it out and scan it in, I'll try
Bikewrench, if you need any info or phots on the Cherokee wiper install, just let me know. Using the Cherokee motor allows you to keep your stock F100 wiper linkage. It is not real strong linkage by modern standards but in the case of my truck was strong enough to last 50+ years and is still going strong.
What kind of steering column are planning to use in your truck?
Chuck
Cowman, thanks for the offer. I've used shots from your gallery, already. I'm using the Cherokee wiper motor, steering column, and parking brake assembly. They save a lot of fab time. I also got some ideas from your seat bracket. I have pictures of my progress in my gallery. Thanks again. Bike
