Nav Double-Din HU?

I'm looking for a Double Din Navigation HU that has auxillary input so I can use my Sirius Starmate Replay. I want to be able to use the navigation and the Sirius at the same time. In other words, I don't want to have the satellite radio turn off to use the navigation feature. Does anyone know of a HU that is capable of this? I was looking at the Pioneer AVIC-D2 because it is pretty affordable, but don't know if this is possible. Any help would be great!

Pioneer offers the CD-RB10 or CD-RB20 Auxiliary Input adapters. They connect to the cd changer input of the AVIC units and allow you to play "whatever" you want. As with the cd changer you can listen to the cd while navigation is running. I would assume that the same would go for the auxiliary unput since it's running on the same.

The Pioneer AVIC Z1 will do exactly what you are looking for, all the connectors for input/output comes with it.

...After rereading your post, I was thinking you were talking about the sirius sat. radio unit itself. If you are adding an aux. unit, you will need the connectors mentioned in the earlier reply. Sorry.

Just food for thought. I am looking for something along the same lines but I want to have DVD in the front HU.

If you want the DVD and Nav function to be available at the same time you will need a unit with a seperate Nav box that hangs off the system or a Hard drive. I have talking to guys at all the local shops for days about the different options and I ended up with Kenwood's DDX-8017.

The Pioneer cannot be bypassed to watch DVD while driving. Kenwood, Eclipse, Panasonic can. Alpine can with an add on part. I do a lot of interstate driving and wanted to have the DVD function while in motion.

Good luck

Hmm - very interesting. All the local guys said there is some type of gyro in the Pioneer that senses motion and disables the DVD. That site is awesome - very good info. Thanks for the correction.

OFF the record here
the bypass does work on the pioneer units
N2\N3
D1 and Z1

Z1 has a built in hard drive to store nav data and you can watch dvd
I performed this bypass on one of pioneers demo cars
works flawlessly
