got my 76 dirty for the 1st time today. i was giving my friend a ride and asked if he knew where a party that is coming up is gonna be and he said we were gonna go right by it and he said ill show you, so we pulled up to the kids house and started BSin for a while then we got to talkin about a huge mud bog goin on this weekend and he was like hell i got a mud hole at the end of the road here you wanna go? so we went up to it and i just smashed it as soon as i got there mud was flyin in the cab the engine was screamin and i was moving sideways. eventually i locked the hubs in and put it in 4 low and just let it eat. we played around for about 10 mins i was running low on gas and my engine was getting a little warm from rapein the crap out of it so i pulled up next to him and said i was headin out. he lead the way down a windy gravel trail to the road he lives on and as soon as i hit the pavement i stomped it and my rear end broke loose becuase of all the mud in my tries, there was a half mile long mud trail to the main road. you never what life is going to throw at you, today it threw mud. here are some pics that i took after i got home and the rain stopped. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=22350
i didnt wash it, it raind on the way home. the deeper mud is coming up this friday, big party goin on here... http://619march18.tripod.com/id5.html it will be fun and there will be carnage.
That bog doesn't look to bad, you thought you got mud in weird places then, wait till you hit a muddy watery (slush) hole. Then you won't even know the color of your truck.
Have fun, wish I was going some where this week end, but I'll be buisy doing the rear gears, and hopfully headers and exhaust before next week end, and THEN the mud will fly.
I dont mean to be a @$# but i have been through worse stuff than that in my 2wd in my back yard next time try to actually go through something serious those tires will make it.
I use to love mud, but the cleanup got to be such a hassle, now I avoid it. Now I love to trail ride in the mountains. As a matter of fact, I go down to the family mountain farm not to far from you over in Petersburg W,Va. We did some logging over in front royal Va several years ago, nice country!

if you are talking about the mud bog coming up this weekend then you have one hell of a back yard, and one hell of a truck, becuase some of the most capable 4x4s in my town got stuck last time around. and if your talking about the mud i went through yesterday i know it wasnt bad at all it was just something to play in. it was really only inch deep surface mud. and the tires on my truck suck, they turn into slicks at the first sign of mud.
umm......you're kidding right...I can establish more mud than that in 10 seconds and I wouldnt make a write up of it..not to be a dick or anything but......lame
no, i'm not kidding, if you care so little why did you take time out of your day to post? you also have mud terrains and i have 32" a/t's and what you didnt see was the fist size chunks flying from my tires and how plasterd my wheel wells are and the 3/4 mile long trail of mud me and my friend left coming from the pit. and if you had read the previos post i made then you would realize that i know it is not alot of mud, and if you had read my earlier posts you would see that it rained for a good 5 mins while i was on my way home and it was not light rain there was some hail in it too. im sorry i had fun and wanted to say something about it. and even though you weren't trying to be a dick, you came across as one.

I also had 33" ATs and they throw the mud just fine..and if you went thru such a mud pit your truck should have been muddier than that....regardless of the rain
that aint the mud pit i went though. there is going to be a party at that mud pit saturday and im putting my truck though it. i went to a friends mud pit behind his house that was only like 2" deep at most. when i go though the mud pit in that site i have no doubt that i will not be able to tell the color of my truck.
