Ford AIS

I just installed new AIS intake, I am going on my Fourth tank of fuel since new filter and my gas mileage has increased 2-2.5 mpg.17-17.5 to 19-19.5 Don't know if filter is responsible for all of the increase, but after installing, engine seemed to run smoother.

note: checking mpg with factory overhead gauge, haven't used paper and pencil because I don't want to be dissapointed.

If you had a really dirty, nasty clogged stock filter - it could be possible that the AIS gained you that kind of MPG.... but not very likely.... Congrats on the new AIS though!!

Obviously you know about the overhead "Lie-O-Meter", as a lot of people around here call it....

Is the overhead guage a factory guage which is located on the cab's ceiling?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I'm thinking about doing the same thing, and I don't belive I have an overhead guage- just the digital odometer on the dash......????
