Speed limiter

Speed limiter
My truck (93 f150 4.9 5sp) tops out @ 99/100 mph according to my GPS unit. Question is, Is their a way to bypass the oe speed limiter or change the limit?

I hate to disagree here....
I absolutely do not recommend going any faster, but there is a way. Mine has a bad VSS sensor in the rear end, and my speedometer bounces around like mad at a high speed. Well since the computer isn't getting an accurate reading from the VSS, it doesn't stop at 99. I've actually had it up to 115-120 or so (buddy was following me in his Civic.) I was on OD with the TC locked up, pulling about 3100 RPM.
But I do not under any circumstances recommend it. Theres a reason they put limiters on our trucks from the factory.

my friends dad got an escalde EXT and we went testing it out. only went 102, his parents found out cuzz thier is a way to see hwo fast you've gone in the last week adn things. average speed, adn top speed.... kinda sucked..lol
