I have the MAP regulator from ITP diesel. Am I missng something? It says to simply remove the 2 screws holding the sensor and install between the existing braket and the 2 screws, but the bracket is not long enough and the screw holes don't even come close to lining up! Is it just pinched in there or do I need to fabricate a better bracket? This should be so simple!!

I INSTALLED MINE IN JUST ABOUT THE SAME PLACE.
DID NOT SECURE THE REGULATOR..... JUST KIND OF SITS THERE..
YOURS SHOULD BE OK LIKE IT IS.....
I HAVE A PICTURE OF MINE IN MY GALLERY... TAKE A LOOK.
I GOT MY MINI REGULATOR FROM A LOCAL " INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS SHOP".
All you have to do is loosen the 2 screws and slide the regulator bracket on top of map sensor bewteen the 2 screws ( going by pic you posted you can see it fits exactly between the screws)....and then just tighten up the screws and it holds it in place. Very simple. Ignore the holes on the bracket. No use for them unless you choose to actually mount it somewhere else.
It's just pinched between the sensor and the factory bracket. There is absoutley no stress on that regulator, so it will be just fine there. I've had mine there all year, and not a bit of problems, not moved at all.
i loosened up the two screws on both sides of that mount, and slid the regulator in between the two pieces of metal. then tighten down the two screws. let me go get a pic of mine. bb in a few.
Thanks guys! I would have just slid it under, but why did they put the holes there and make it seem like you would actually use them? Oh well I will jsut slide it inbetween the bracket and be done with it but just wanted to make sure!
cool, good to hear. i took some pretty detailed pics of mine before i left for dinner, and now the camera wont upload them. glad you got it all fixed tp Tod

The bracket is made by the same folks that make the regulator. It's just a generic bracket. You can find them on Grainger.com if you want to make your own regulator system.
