Im trying to findout how much boost my 95 7.3 would make from the factory, and im not having much luck and help would be great.

Stock....14-15 psi is average. Maybe as high as 17.

 

any idea what I should be at with a 4" exh and a super chips tuner,front mount intercooler(air to air 3"),icp box.

 

with a intercooler it'll be about the same. thats what I get out of my intercooled 96 when I had a tuner on it.

 

so is their not to much I can do to up the boost level, well short of new turbo and injectors. I'd like to up the hp of it aswell.
Also what are the thourghts on water meth injection ??

 

You can change the exhaust housing to a smaller size. 1.0 or .84 a/r. That will help some. Or like you say injectors! You did'nt mention a intake. A open element intake like the Tymar may help ya get a little more boost... Best thing is to get a set of moded injectors and a chip to run them. Thats the plan for the 96. I would urge ya to stay off the drugs(water/meth). Set up just right it works good. But if somtin aint quite right you'll have big troubles. My opinion...

 

And a reasonable opinion it is. Water/meth is not the best idea for a stock truck....you really need to be able to build and maintain 20 psi before you spray it. It can be hard on the bottom end if you spray too much too soon. Similar, and safer results can be had from adding an intercooler to a non intercooled truck.

 

If the autometer boost gauge i installed a couple of months ago is accurate, I easily hit 15 lb of boost under hard acceleration empty and I hit 21 pulling a 12k trailer the other day, again under hard acceleration.
I don't often wind it out that far or hard, but I was just trying to see what it could do!

 

dont worry man i often wind mine up to 30+. no problems yet.

and a set of injectors would wake that truck right up power stroken.

 

30 lbs of boost........Uhhhh, are you sure? I think you might wanna check your gauge from your sig....

 

30 lbs of boost in OBS is possible.
I can get it under hard accel with chip set to high and pane turned on.

 

I agree. I've seen 28 + at WOT with the speedo pegged and the superchip on the highest setting. Had to back out of it before i ran out of room on the tach, though (4.10's).

i can peg my boost gauge if i want at 35
i guess its time for a video. anyone here who has injectors will agree.

i used to be able to before injectors hit 26 psi under hard acceleration at 3400 rpms.

now i just tap the go pedal and i can peg it no problem.

 

doesnt say anything about injectors, and I didnt think a stock motor would reach 30 psi. I thought 25 MAX, if someone was lucky

 

you are right a stock truck wont reach 30 or barely 20. a completely stock psd. it will reach high teens.
