Anyone check out the accessories page on that site? You can get shovels, metal fairing, automatic petcock....wow. I might go down and check them out today.
no but i checked out the prices and how many dealers. found 2 very near me and prices starting at about 6 k for the solo to 10.5k for the top with a side car and covers. they are still 750 cc and 40 hp as long ago.
i could easily go the price for some getting near 50 mpgs +or -, and have a 2 year warrenty .
edit 1
i went back and looked even a spare gas canister for the side car . rode one back abut 1970 some one had not that bad back then.
but one thing the side car models have 4 foward 1 reverse in the gear box. miss a shift and you have reverse.
edit 2
top speed is only 65 mph no speeding tickets exc. maybe in town

I've had a harley ('53 panhead that I built) honda goldwing, suzukis, etc. but everybody is riding one of those or something comparable. I want something that is unique, and that will go where I want. the ural patrol and the gear up have 2 wheel drive. and the style hasn't changed since 1939. it's identical to the 1939 bmw r71.
that wolf where else can you get a drive shaft bike for under 6k that gets 40 mpgs .yah the tech is from ww 2 a russian copy of bmw. .
the price is right for todays price on gasoline and i sure don't need a lot to go 12 miles a day and they have 2 dealers near by and i know both. plus the wife like the blue side car one for under 10k.
dang last time we had a side car one dog would always go for rides and loved it.
When I was a kid I had a Jawa 350 (Czech made.) Now there was a bike you didn't see every day. Gearshift and footbrake were reversed from a conventional bike which made it interesting to ride if you weren't paying attention. Also, the gearshift doubled as the kick starter.

A few days ago I posted a question regarding Royal Enfield motorcycles. The lack of responses prompted me to change my mind about those bikes and choose a different one.
Does anybody know anything about Urals? Good, bad, or....?
thanks man after seeing your post i checked them out that black solo is only 5.5k and the side car ones stop at 10.5k even one with 2 wheel drive a way of connecting the side car wheel to the rear drive.
parts are good with lots of dealers . infact i get mine on the 30th 2 year warrenty with unlimited miles. push botton start with a kicker back up. 38 mpg rating and a hack for the wifie.
