Code P0304, Thanks for this forum
Racerguy and all others who contribute thier time and knowledge, thank you. This is the second issue where a year ago, I would have taken the truck to a mechanic and paid dearly.. 1st job was a few months ago replacing broken manifold studs... Yesterday was replacing a bad COP
Yesterday on the way to work by 2001 F150 (5.4) 4x4 starts to lag, lurch, miss and run bad. Not throwing a code yet. Drive it about a mile during lunch and it's running rough and finally throws a code (service engine soon light comes on).
I got online and read several of the post and paid re-read the how to change spark plugs sticky. Stop by the auto parts store and code reads P0304 (misfire #4). Buy a new plug and COP and head to the house...
Disconnect battery and follow sticky advice, 30 minutes later job is done, code is cleared and truck runs great....
And an extention magnet works very well for getting the old spark plug out after it has been removed but is still down inside.
