driving down the road today all of a sudden the passenger side of my truck just dropped! when i got it towed home i found my spring collapsed and my i beam was bent and twisted along with the part that holds the ibeam where its spost to be while moving was pratically ripped out of its pocket on the frame,so i got it checked out on wut all needed replacin and the list is , new ibeams, rims and tires shocks springs, new tirods and new steering box new pretty much everything, price for someone to fix it for me concidering i dont have the time is 1200 dollars,so i asked the guy wut cause it and he didnt have a clue, does anyone know,i was doin 60 and it just dropped,my poor poor truck so i may end up selling it to a kid that wants it to turn it into a crawler,so idk, just needed to rant a bit,thx guys
Sounds like a lot of damage for just dropping down, the snubber should of limited travel and thats all besides replacing a spring and maybe shock.
Years ago were I lived there was a rise to cross train tracks, I got on the average 2' of air at 45 mph and never damaged a beam just sacked out the front springs as this stunt was done many times over 5 years.
Should you need all the above replacement parts I would go to a Pick-N-Pull, a lot cheaper by 1/8 than that $1,200 quote. I have seen rollovers with less damage than you have, steering box, why unless it was shot before the spring failure? Beam pivot point mount torn out with the brace it has from the factory, sorry but things sound fishy here.

Yea, sounds like you are fixing to get a major screw job - post some pictures. My 72 had a couple of rivets that had popped out - I replaced them with high strength bolts - total cost of repair under $5.
I didn't think anything short of a 30 ton hydraulic jack could bend these beams.
