I went with the Pertronix Ignitor 2, which is a little more expensive than the original Ignitor (no, I don't think the extra money was worth it). I don't remember exactly what I paid, but I did shop around a lot, and the best price by a good margin was Virginia Classic Mustang. How much of a difference did it make over points guys? What kind of build do you have? I am starting to get a miss that comes and goes. My dizzy is starting to get metal shavings under the cap so I think its time to do something (new dizzy and ignitor). I am going with the MSD but I just got orders to Korea for the end of the year for 12 months. I would rather wait until I get back to get the good stuff instead of leaving it to collect dust.
I got mine off ebay here's a link for a different auction, same guy i bought mine from 59.00 including shipping http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1826461220 I had the item in 3 days.

I paid $109 Canadian, which is about $65 US, at the local parts store about 2 blocks from where I work. I never really shopped around a lot...just bought it.
As far as how it runs goes; I kept the stock coil for now so it didn't really make much difference that I could notice. The nice thing is that it won't change and I can upgrade to a higher voltage coil if I want.
I just got the new catalog from Virgina Classic Mustang in the mail yesterday. They list the Pertronix Ignitor for $59.95 and the Ignitor II for $99.95. There's an entire page devoted to the advances and benefits of the "microprocessor controlled" Ignitor II, but it may all be hype for all I know.
