You could wait for a hose to break, that'll do it. Or you can get a suction tool and remove the old fluid and add new PS fluid. Or you could remove the return hose and run the engine for a bit to pump out the old fluid. Just don't run it dry for more than second or two.
Why do you want to do this anyway?
The fluid is old and looks creamy and kind of thick. The steering is feeling a bit heavy also. I have some loss of centerline feel also. So insted of having some do this I thought this was something I could do on my own.

I've been thinking about flushing mine. It looks like it would be relatively simple to drop a line off of the cooler located below the radiatior. Add a line into a jug of new fluid and let the old go to a waste container. Let it run until it comes out like new. Is it OK to use regular Mercon ATF, or do you need special fluid?

You should use power steering fluid. Look it up in the owners manual or a shop manual. Make sure your unhooking the Steering not the transmission cooler!
