autometer water temp guage?

autometer water temp guage?
A couple of people have commented on putting a autometer water temp guage in their trucks. Can somebody please tell me where you are putting the sender into the water system at( I am assuming you are using electrical guages not mechanical, correct)? Thanks for the help.

Mechanical or electric, the sender can be located in a tap next to the thermostat. One plug is on top and another is on the side. I run mechanical, you can still get the temp with the key off.

i run electrical cause i don't want to chance coolant spraying my interior but yes the spot on the drivers side of the water pump is what i use cause the other one is used for my coolant filter.

Mechanical water temperature gauges do not have liquid inside the cab. There is a probe that sends a signal to the guage. Mechanical guages are usually more accurate than electric guages.
