I have a chance to buy a used Banks sidewinder kit with less than 1000 miles on it. The truck got wrecked. He is asking 1600.00 for it does that sound fair for a unit that will fit a 92 7.3 IDI? I believe it is wastegated. Haven't seen it yet.

 

Sound like a deal to me, especially if the entire exhaust system, downpipe, muffler comes with it.

Should fit if it came of a 6.9l or 7.3l IDI motor.

 

It is the complete kit.

 

If it was on an IDI motor, it will fit any IDI motor from 83 to 94, 6.9 or 7.3.

Check the downpipe and exhaust for damage, there are a couple of places the clearance is real close between other parts. It would not take much to pinch the pipe.

 

also, be aware that the automatic and manual trans units are not the same. everything is different except for the turbo itself.
