Do you know how or why they broke? That is alway my first question. When you don't know why or how it happened. Replace all the springs both sides. Why you ask when
springs start to brake and you don't know why, then it most likely fatigue. When the springs get fatigued they just keep braking, the ones you don't replace.
A few simple measurements with a tape measure will tell you if you can use them or not. First, check width of the leaves, overall length, and distance from the center-pin to the end of the spring. If they match up, you can use them if they have enough arc, as long as they are at least the same number (and configuration) of leaves or higher, and the thickness is at least the same as the originals.
One thing to watch for is the bushings in the end, if they are the same inside diameter as the stockers.
As to why they broke in the first place, just plain fatigue, plus too many potholes in your area. Do you regularly carry heavy loads? If so, they do fatigue quicker.
