another buying question
howdy,,,,Im lookin at a 01 F350 crewcab,DRW,2x4,XLT,auto,,,what should I look for?It has 69,000 miles on it.Im hoping on the test drive the auto tranny acts normal,im a little gun shy after the 97 psd auto..2 trannies in that one. Its priced at 22,000 that seems like a decent price,maby I can talkem down a bit,if it drives well...

IMHO I would say if the truck drives well and the rest of the truck looks like it was well taken care of you are then at the point you would need to spend a bit of money to have a good shop look at it. The tranny on these is the weak point, but you can help it out by adding a BTS valve body and tranny cooler. You can smell the trans fluid to make sure it doesn't smell burnt. Are there any records for the fluid changes and other maintenance?
