I remember green silicone brake fluid was the rage, but I thought it died with in a few months. That was until today. The fluid in my master cyl. res was green.
The previous owner say's he has not touched the brake system, but I am sure Ford was not using some form of dot5 with out saying it clearly in the owners manual. Has anyone seen green brake fluid before and could mine be the "good stuff"?
I remember years ago there was a hype built around this green silicone brake fliud, I want to say it was from England. This is the only source of information I have on green brake fluid.
Is there any reason for dot3 to turn green? I don't think the brakes would work as well as the do, if there was enough water in the fluid to grow algi.
