Green Brake Fluid?

Green Brake Fluid?
I was replacing the brake caliper on a '95 Explorer and noticed that the brake fluid had a green tint. I checked the reservoir and the fluid there also had a green tint. I checked my '97 Ranger, and the fluid looked the same. All the brake fluids I saw before were amber or red. Does anyone know what type of brake fluid this is?

If the brake system hasn't been flushed and refilled in the last 2 - 3 years I suspect that your brake fluid has the green tint because it has absorbed water and is contaminated with byproducts of the brake system. If it is the original fluid then it definitely should be flushed and refilled.
