ibought an aftermarket keyless entry for my 1997 f-350 crew cab, it looked simple but i am having trouble figuring out what wire to hook into for the door lock. i only want the drivers front door to unlock when i push the button. anybody know where i need to lock. i have power window and locks!! thanks
You are going to have to install a relay on your drivers door motor wire to have drivers door priority unlocking.
Connect your lock and unlock wires as normal. Your keyless SHOULD have a priority unlock output. Most have this these days.
In your drivers door boot harness you will find a Red with Orange Stripe wire. You will have to cut this in half. Connect the wire going to your door to PIN 30. Connect the wire going to the body to PIN 87a. Connect PINS 87 and 86 to 12 volts constant. Connect pin 85 to the drivers priority unlock on your keyless entry.
