A will it fit ?

Will the radius arms on a 3/4 ton early 70's (say 70-72) pickup fit on a 67 f100?

I was hoping someone else would answer - but AS I REMEMBER - the answer is yes and no. The 3/4 ton stuff is a lot stouter - but you can put the entire suspension under the 1/2 ton frame. So if you moved the I beam, coils, and radius arm it would work.

However, I do not think it will fit on the 1/2 ton I beam. I don't think you can mix the 3/4 ton parts with the 1/2 ton suspension.

I recall that the forged radius rods are the same as are the I beams. As long as your GVW is 6,900# or less the King Pins are .860" diameter, everything will exchange as springs are the difference between 1/2 and 3/4 ton. There are early frame mounted top spring perches that are low with short springs and later high towers which require longer springs. Remember 75% of the load will be in the bed on the rear springs unless it's a cab over camper.

I put the entire front end from a 1979 F250 under my 1969 F100 and it was a total bolt up.

Were the top spring perches higher on the 79 with longer springs than the perches of a 69 as well shorter springs?
