Angry Nice.....now What

Ok, so I wasted my $39.95. Got a book on how to make and mix this DSE with WVO, Gas, Diesel Kleen, and some kerosene. I have been too afraid to make it, in the fear I would waste more $$$, and the fear of destroying my 03' 7.3PS.
After reading u many of the posts, one that I started, the replies to it, I have found that I am no closer to doing anything. I have a completed two pump three filtered system that I made using the DSE book instructions. But I don't know where to go from here. I have secured an abundant of WVO for free, I just need to start somewhere, and I am at a loss of where to go.
The process to make Bio sounds long and I don't have the room for the amount of equipment that is needed. I don't have the $$$ to make the mods to my truck to run straight WVO. So what am I to do????
I’m at a loss for where to go and at a loss to spend $3.07 a gallon.
I should buy a Vespa.....AAAHHHHHH....sorry just got a visual of me, 6'0 230lbs on a Vespa..<!--[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" oreferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"/> <v:formulas> <v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"/> <v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"/> <v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"/> <v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"/> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"/> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"/> <v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"/> <v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"/> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"/> <v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"/> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"/> <v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"/> </v:formulas> <vath o:extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"/> <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"/> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="_x0000_i1025" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="" style='width:11.25pt; height:11.25pt'> <v:imagedata src="file:///COCUME~1LanceLOCALS~1Tempmsohtml1\01clip_image00 1.gif" o:href="http://images.ford-trucks.com/forums/images/smilies2/angry.gif"/> </v:shape><![endif]--><!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

Me personally I'm in the same situation: having got the DSE and have the complete 2 pumps 3 filters. I'm just gonna keep messin with it. I do it the like the WVO style. Start with 1st tank ( pure diesel) then switch to 2nd (DSE). I only do this cuz I'm not 100% sure of this product but it I've had no problems yet. I might switch to Bio. and I still got the pumps and filters to transfer the Bio.

Bio is not that hard to do! Have a look at my gallery and see my simple processer...................very cheep and easy to build. Most of the parts I had laying around and it took me less than a day to build!

Yes. It will run on biodiesel. Generally when sold at the pump biodiesel is mixed at a ratio of somewhere between 5-20%. It will mix just fine with straight #2.

Scott, thanks for the reply. I will give it a try. It runs 10 cents higher than regular diesel, but if I can squeez a mile or two better fuel economy, It will be worth it...

Actually, the BTU rating for bioD is slightly lower than petroD. However, the cetane rating of bioD is higher, therefore the fuel burns quicker (and cleaner). Some listers report an increase in performance/mpg, some report a slight decrease, and some say they see no difference. I think you're gonna find that it's a wash - same performance/same mileage. The real reason to use the stuff is the higher lubricity (your pump and injectors will last much longer), the cleaner burning (lower soot and HC emissions) and the quieter operation. Oh yeah, and don't forget that you're subsidizing a fuel made (at least partially) right here at home.

Here in Lonoke AR they only sell it 2%. I wish I could find more than that anywhere around here.

You can get a higher blend in Des Arc, it's only 30 miles or so from Lonoke. If you came up 31 and took 38 across you'd go right past my house. I can't remember the name of the place, but I'll write the name and number down for ya' when I go fuel the first of next week.

Man I wish this DSE sh.. would go away! Don't waste your money or your engine. DSE is SNAKE OIL!!!! Do a search on this forum and hear what others think about it. Can't help with methanol in your area, i live on the left coast.

Fab one of the problems is it is advertised on this site in this forum. Ads by Google are show in this forum when you don't login and maybe if your not a supporter, not sure. I know I check in from time to time while at work and I don't always login. I saw it there today.

I finally got from the fryer to the fuel tank and started reading that. It talks about a kerosene\veg oil mix and it says that it doesnt recomend running a vehicle for long periods of time on it. So far the book has been a real good guide to give me some start up ideas . Thanks
