I have an 05 F-150 XL (work truck)...I am experiencing slight "movement" in my seat when decelerating to a dead stop, and accelerating. Again it is very slight, but certainly noticeable. The dealer confirmed the movement, however, called it normal. I am new to the site and wonder if anyone else had this? thanks!
vtrip7, Why don't you go and test drive a brand new XL (work truck) to see if the movement is normal. I have never heard of any kind of seat movement in any new vehicle, especially the F150. I would try my best to get the problem resolved before the warranty expires, even if it means talking to a Ford representitive or going to a different dealership for help.
I've had driver seat problems. It fells like the seat back moves/clunks. I've had it in the dealer over 6 times. They've replace the seat back twice the seat track, seat bottom and retractor drum twice also and the pivot bushings twice. And it still isn't fixed. i'm at my wits end with my seat and may try another dealer and see if they can fix it right.
My 2004 FX4 does not move at all. I have owned many vehicles and driven countless many others and only once did I come across a seat that moved. The bolts that held the seat down were loose. DO NOT let Ford convince you that this is normal.
