headers for the mod motors are MONEY. Headers are great..but..its not like you can get a GOOD set for less then 300 as is the case for 302/351W's of old.
Marcus what other mods (if any) have you done/going to do to your truck? I myself have the '05 Screw ,5.4 and was asking the same q about the Headers. I already replaced the stock muffler and cold air intake and now I am looking to put a supercharger on it...probably shouldn't have jumped the gun on the K&N intake. I also have the 6.5 pro-comp lift(2wd) and it sits on 20's w/ 37 in tires it looks mean but I was advised to run beefier gears prior to installing the SC
From what i've been told they add some performance and give alot bigger badder sound but buying the headers arent the only cost, getting them welded on is the other, range anywhere from $300-$550

I'm contemplating changing out the whole exhaust system on my truck, is it worth it?
Is it worth changing out the stock exhaust headers on a 05 4.6L or are the stock ones good enough?
I got the Gibson stainless steel headers with flowmaster 40 delta series dual exit in my 05 fx4 5.4L, and i really can feel the difference, keeps your engine less hot, improve performance (more hp), better throttle response, the only thing is that are expensive, i got mine on ebay from less than 300 (new) i have seen those on other websites from 500 to over 600. it took my mechanic about 12 hours it wasnt easy he said.
