Suspension part

I need a front passenger lower shock bracket for my 69 F250 2wd. Salvage yards wont sell it and don't want to go to the trouble of pulling a radius arm. I know Johns F100 sells them new, but I called and it will take them atleast a week to get one in stock. Anyone have any suggestions?

I always first check the sponsor's site, but didn't find it there.
Not seeing it there, i checked www.f100.com and found this:
https://www.f100.com/6772Shop/cat59.htm
Looks like they want $17.50 for it.
I need the same thing for mine, but haven't had the time to do it right. In the mean time i'm using a "HELP" universal lower shock kit ($5 at Kragen's). Unfortunately, I had to remove the shock's lower bushing to make it work.

If the old one is bad I think you'll have to wait for a new one. Junk yard brackets are hard to take off. It's going to be bad enough to have to take the old one off your own truck. When you do get the new one you're going to have to grind the two rivets off and pound out the rivets. I use 1/2" course thread, 1 1/2 length grade 5 bolts with nuts and lock washers. Seems to work fine. good luck

Well, I got the part. I ground the rivet heads off, just haven't had the patience to knock the rivets out. You sure its 1/2" and not 7/16" thread?

Aaron, when you get the rivet out take it and the new bracket down to the local parts store and buy the correct size grade five bolt. I'd also use self locking nuts.

It's been a while, I agree to take the part to the local hardward store. It will take a 50/50 mixture of patience and braun to get the rest of the rivets out. I took 1/4 drill bit and drilled 1/4 inch into the rivets. I used an "expendable" large phillips screwdriver and pounded out each rivet.
