engine number identification
gday guys im not sure if anyone can help me here, what engine number prefix does the i-6 use? my f truck has a 351 clevo in it but the rego has a different number on the rego and i am concerned that it is still registered with the six
the engine number on the rego is a jg34 prefix motor
any help please ???????????

jg34 is not a ford casting number.
The first character indicates the decade. C = 60's, D = 70's, E = 80's, etc. The second is the year of that decade. The last two are model and part group.
For example, most of the engine parts on my 89 are E9TE - 1989 truck engine.
