I can not answer your question but i would like to know if you by chance have noticed any calibration differences with the vehicle speedometer and the Edge tuner speed indicator...

once I installed the Edge Evolution I could compare the speedometer and the tuner, I have the same tires and programed 2559, just check speed with GPS and it shows I am running 2mph's slower than the Edge and 5 mph slower than the speedometer, just curious if you or anyone else has noticed any differences.

I have a ? too. now I know nothing about computers but the edge manual says that if you have not returned to stock and the dealer re-flashes your computer then your edge will not work any longer. what happens when a dealer re-flashes ? wouldnt that return your stock settings ? and then in theory all you would need to do is reinstall the edge again ? what am I not getting.

You need to retain the stock calibration files. This is the file that shows on the Edge screen when you hooked the Edge to the truck for the first time. This is written onto the Edge for return to stock program. If yo do not return the truck to stock first then the Edge will think it is still installed on the truck. I hope this makes sense. All tuners work this way. They pull the stock program out of the truck and re-write with the tuner program. The stock program is retained in the tuner memory.

OK so it seems to me that the Edge should have the option to delete a stored stock calibration and perform a reinstall which would read the current calibration which should be a stock calibration if the dealer reflashes and you start from the beggining again. I read where if you have a problem you can call edge anf for a small fee they will correct your settings. They must do a wipe and reinstall for you.

The edge doesn't delete the stock files, it simply pulls them out of the truck and stores them in memory. If the truck isn't returned to stock before it gets reflashed then when you plug your Edge back into it it won't have the correct data to tune your ride. It will recognize that the truck is back to stock settings and it won't be able to pull them out because there is already one stock setting stored in the Edge.

I had the same question and I asked Edge about it. Here's what Kenny replied with:

"The PCM tire size works off of Revolutions per Mile. This comes out to about 5mm difference for each Revolution per Mile. When you put in 2559mm, the Evolution calculates the Rev per Mile value and then rounds to the nearest whole number. When you go back in to change it later, the Evolution is taking the Rev per Mile value and recalculating the values in mm based on the ROUNDED value it determined earlier. Rest assured that 5, 10 or even 25 mm isn’t going to make a tremendous difference in the accuracy of the speedometer. It usually takes about 100+ mm to make a 1 mph differnece."

I've since installed the latest Edge program and now it sticks with 2559.

Did you first, when you got to the settings screen, select the "Load Previous Settings" option? If you do not do this you will not see the changes that you previously made.
