I know the wooosh sound from the intake is the release of unused boost pressure when i let off of the trottle but just recently i noticed a new sound with the release of that pressure its kind of a high groan but it only does it when im going up a hill or pushing the truck hard and then let off the throttle, anyone had this sound or something similar?

 

Have you done any mods to the truck? Mine makes a rattling noise when I let off the gas since I did the kwik filter mod.

 

If you did the KwikFilter, you will hear the engine more than with a box filter.
The odd noise you are hearing is commonly called a "bark". That is at the highest end of the whoosh you normally hear when driving like...well and old lady. When you really get into it and back out of throttle you will hear this.

IT IS OK. There are vehicles out there that will scare the underwear off of you when they do it. (not BOV's)
