I tried to find the ratio in my rear end but i think i did it wrong. Lifted one tire, marked it, and rotated tire 1 full turn. right?
the driveshaft rotated 1 and 3/4 times thus making it a 1.75? The mark started off parrallel to the ground( 3 o clock from the back of the truck), went around once and then ended up facing the ground straight down(6 o clock). What numbers can i give ya'll to know more, the axle code on the door id 08 i think.
I just went through this with my 72 F100. You have a 3.50 rear end. I thought I could just jack up one rear tire and turn it also. You need to turn both at the same time or have someone move it while you watch.
