ehy i pulled the tach out of my 95 f-250. I wanted to put it in my 99 because it has sentimental value. I allready have a tach in the dash. I got all the wires hooked up and went to hook it up to the coil. I then relized that the truck doesnt have just one coil. I need to know were i can find te wire i need to splice to put in my tach. Thanks
Dan
My 2000 Ranger had 2 coils, and 2 plugs per cylinder. I had to find the factory wire that ran to the factory tach (That the truck didn't have, but the wire still worked). Worked great and was spot on. However, most tachs only have settings for 4, 6, and 8 cyl, so you may need an adapter to make it work correctly if it's a V-10. Best of luck to you....
I had to pick through my Haynes manual to find which one it was, then I had to hunt it down in the engine compartment. It was in a big bundle of wires on the firewall, but that was on a Ranger. If you can find the color that it's supposed to be, and can't find it in the engine compartment, you may have to go hunting behind the dash...
