coil replacement?

Personally I just replace them as they go bad. At $60 a pop in the aftermarket, I've got better uses for my cash. Now at 108K miles, I've replaced a running total of 6 (of 10). All except the last one failed in the 30K-75K mile window.

No need to replace them all at once just the bad one, but... Test the faulty coil first. the boot and spring terminal remove from the coil base. Sometimes corrosion will prevent the coil from making good contact with the spring terminal. I'll see if I can dig up the resistance values for the coil for you. You can get the spring terminal and boot together as a kit for about 12 bucks. If the coil is bad they ain't cheap. If you havent already removed the coil, I've found the easiest way is to use a 1/4 inch drive socket, u joint, and an extention. Use a magnet to remove the screw, then pull the coil out. The coil will flex around the fuel rail. Anyway this is probably more info than you need. Good luck.
