I am new to your forum making my first posting/question. I have 2 / F250 SD 99, 95 PSD trucks. Both are stalling and cutting out when you are driving or stopping at light. I have been reading the forum about the cam position sensor CPS replacement suggested. I have order one for each truck but if this does not correct the problem what would be my next step to correct? It is so funny that I seem to have 2 trucks with the same problem and the 95 has been doing this for several months. Very frustrated!
Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts and the diesel forums.
If the cam sensors do not do the trick you'll need to look at the fuel system, especially on the older one. When was the last time either of them got a new fuel filter?
I have replaced both trucks with new fuel/air filters but this did not change the problem before I ordered the CPS for both trucks. Any other sensor's I should be looking at in addition?
