I'm looking ot relocate my fuel tank from the cab to where the spare tire is and don't know what to do with the tire. Don't want to mount it in the bed cause it's exposed to the sun and would rot it quick. I wanna keep the tank under the bed because i haul my suzuki 100 in this truck and it wouldn't fit if the tank was there. The spare won't fit behind the seat where the tank was, and that's the original spare not my 10+ wide spare. Where can i put all this stuff? Anyone who's done this please post or e-mail comments and pictures.
I have 2 18 gallon saddle type gas tanks installed on my 67 Ford long bed F100. One on each side under the bed, between the fender and the frame in front of the rear wheel wells.
Just did this on my '67, some use mustang tanks and do much messin around to make fit and fill, etc. I used the more $$$ than time approach and bought stainless steel 20 gal tank just for this application from Fat Fendered Bobs in Fontana Calif, fits perfectly with all mounting Hardware, and a bed fill that sits below ribs of bed bottom. Good luck. Trevor the CACWBY in WI
