I am wanting to put clearance lights on my F250 4x4. Problem is I want to put the correct style lens on instead of just a universal style. Anybody know what style they used on the 67-72 models. I know that some were factory and some were dealer installed so, would like to hear from those that have the factory lights. Thanks
Oh yeh, I see LMC offers a light kit for $49 but not sure if the light style is era right.
Here's what's on my '69. To the best of my knowledge they are original equipment. If you find someone that makes this style now, I'd sure like to hear it. I want to replace these someday, but want to keep the original look.
I have the same lights on my 70 Ranger XLT that Vern69 shows in his pictures. Assuming that mine are original, the ones in the LMC catalogue are of the same style. When I bought my truck this past summer, one lens was missing, so I ordered one from LMC. It's a good match. Eventually, I will replace the rest of the lenses.
I've done a little digging and found that these were original factory equipment. I have the original owner's manual for my truck and they are mentioned there as well as in my wiring diagrams. As near as I can come up with, they were standard on some F-350's and optional for F-100 and F-250's.
Vanwho- Thanks for the info on LMC selling this style.
The ones for the 67-72 can be bought at any auto parts store. Check a junk yard. I must have seen 4 trucks with complete sets at my local yard after I spent $8 on a new one. I think that they used the same ones thru 1979.
